If you’ve been keeping up with the antics of Lady Georgiana, then you won’t want to miss The Proof Of the Pudding by Rhys Bowen.
Because this is #17 in the Royal Spyness series, and why quit now, right?
Honestly, Lady Georgiana has all sorts of trouble this time around, all while awaiting the arrival of the much-anticipated baby O’Mara (hopefully)!
The only real question here is what my three Rs of book reviews will tell you. Should you read, reread, or reconsider reading The Proof Of the Pudding?
Let’s make that decision easy for you. This book is a total READ for me 🙂

Synopsis of The Proof Of the Pudding by Rhys Bowen
Georgie is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby at her estate, Eynsleigh. Meanwhile, life is bustling with the arrival of her new Parisian chef, Pierre, and the return of Sir Hubert, Eynsleigh’s owner, from his expedition. Georgie seizes the opportunity to host a house party to celebrate Sir Hubert’s return and showcase Pierre’s culinary skills. Among the guests is the famous Gothic horror novelist, Sir Mortimer Mordred, who recently acquired a local Elizabethan manor, known for its notorious poison garden.
The party is a hit, and Sir Mortimer, impressed, requests to borrow Pierre for his own upcoming party, to which Georgie and her husband Darcy are invited. The highlight of the visit is a tour of the infamous poison garden and Sir Mortimer’s laboratory. However, the excitement turns to horror when, after the banquet, several guests fall ill, and one tragically dies, seemingly poisoned by berries from the garden. This baffles everyone, as all guests had the same meal and dessert.
Now, Georgie finds herself in a race against time. She must uncover the truth and find the perpetrator to clear her chef’s name and protect her reputation, all while preparing for the imminent arrival of her baby.
The Proof Of the Pudding – What I Liked
This book was filled with classic “Georgie” through and through, as well as many more favorite characters that we previously met in early books in this series, including all of Georgie’s quirky family and, of course, Princess Zou Zou!
An absolute delight if you’ve been reading the entire series.
One of the things I loved the most about this particular book was the addition of Agatha Christie as a character. Brilliant!
The Proof Of the Pudding – What I Disliked
It was impossible to dislike anything about this book. Except that eventually I finished it, and then….no more Georgie for a while 🙂
The Proof Of the Pudding – Read, Reread, or Reconsider?
And now for my three Rs of book reviews.
Should you read, reread, or completely reconsider reading The Proof Of the Pudding by Rhys Bowen?
